Training: Dr. Julia Vitale earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology, as well as her Doctorate in Psychology at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY. Dr. Vitale completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University Counseling Center at Notre Dame. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Genesee Valley Psychology (GVP) in Rochester NY. She is currently the Practicum Program Director at GVP and a Staff Psychologist.
Clinical Expertise: Dr. Vitale’s training in clinical and school psychology has allowed her the opportunity to work with children, adults, and families across a variety of settings. Areas of clinical expertise and interest include Anxiety Disorders, such as Social Anxiety, OCD, ARFID, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Concerns related to identity, relationships, and interpersonal functioning are further areas of interest and expertise. Dr. Vitale utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to inform individualized treatment. She is also passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals.

Therapy often requires facing discomforts, and Dr. Vitale is passionate about approaching these discomforts, while also championing clients’ strengths. Dr. Vitale’s therapy approach is informed by evidenced based interventions and orientations, including person-centered, emotion-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and acceptance and commitment therapy frameworks.

Felicia Jackson, PhD

Training: Dr. Felicia Jackson earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Neuroscience and Psychology at Emory University, and her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at Stony Brook University. Dr. Jackson completed both her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School in the Behavioral Health Partial Program. Dr. Jackson is the Founding Director of Jackson Psych in Atlanta, GA.
Clinical Expertise: Dr. Jackson specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, including Depression, Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Agoraphobia in adults. Dr. Jackson uses evidence-based therapies, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Therapy/Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and integrates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
