Training: Meghan earned her undergraduate degree in Human Development & Family Relations from SUNY Plattsburgh. She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Plattsburgh. Meghan completed her Master’s level internship at the VA Hospital in Canandaigua, NY and has worked as a psychotherapist in an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic in Rochester, NY for the last 7 years.

Clinical Expertise: Meghan has a generalist training with particular focus in evidenced-based practices to treat Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Substance Use Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD), and Personality Disorders.  She is trained in a variety of therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.

Approach: Meghan takes a direct, yet collaborative, approach to treatment with significant focus on insight building, problem solving, emotion/reactivity management, and conflict resolution in hopes to assist clients with developing self-awareness, increasing motivation, and reduction of avoidance in order to improve overall life satisfaction and confidence in their ability to manage life stressors.
